This is an invitation to beautiful Tasmania.

We will be starting the trip with an old friend Catherine the first 3 days and staying at an Bed and Breakfast. Then exploring the rest of the island camping but there are also options for cabins and other accommodations should you wish to join us . We will need to get a National Parks Pass closer to the dates for this trip.

SHEFFIELD

Catherine has booked the 2 cottages and main House with 14 Beds all up and a l ight breakfast provided - $68 per person per nite.

Feb 12th - For those flying in, Launceston is closest airport to our first destination Sheffield (The Town of Murals). They offer little farm tours we could do or a relaxing swim at Lake Barrington (4kms away) after we settle in from our long journey when we arrive.

Feb 13th - Catherine's friend Jerra, a native Tasmanian elder, will welcome us and give a talk about the Tasmanian Natives and Jo Ross, a natural therapist and author, (In the process of having book published with beautiful channelled poems from spirit ) will come and share with us.

Feb 14th - Gunns Plains caves (1 hr from accom. ) perhaps chanting in the caves. After the cave time for reflection. Free time to go back to the accommodation or other places ( lots to see ) eg. Leven Canyon only 14kms from caves.

CRADLE MOUNTAIN

Feb 15th 16th - Cradle Mountain Caravan Park. ( Discovery Parks). Cradle Mountain Rd Cradle Mountain 7310 - Powered is 170$ for 2 people for 2 nights. There is limited accomodation in this area its a good idea to secure a spot here straight away. Beautiful hiking tracks here and also Devils @Cradle wildlife sanctuary or just relax and take in the view.

HUONVILLE

Huon Valley Caravan Park is a beautiful park on a unique farm setting next to Mountain River. This spot was perfect and close to Mirium and Ekkhart. Being located 37kms from Hobart makes Huonville an ideal base for day trips into Hobart, Salamanca Markets, Mona and Southern Tasmania. You can catch the bus right out the front if you decide to leave your camper or car for the day.

Feb 17th - On the way to Huonville it might be nice to stop in at the Mona for lunch and have a look around in Hobart

Feb 18th - Salamanca Markets on in the morning (Saturday)

Feb 19th - Ekkhart and Myrium have an interactive and playful workshop planned for the morning and Meditation by the river .They have farm activities and Tassie Devil feeding every day at 4pm or you can take a leisurely walk through the apple orchards and much more to explore.

BRUNY ISLAND

Feb 20th 21st - Camping At Bruny Island South Bruny Island Cloudy Bay 03) 62 931 477 130$ per spot for the 2 nights ( note 1 spot fits 2 vehicles ) I have reserved 3 extra spots we have the Beachside spots to ourselves and the property is privately owned so no riff raff. Here there is protected swimming area that is safe and not too rough snorkelling and diving good also .Fishing is also pretty good here too anyone wishing to do so . Glamping is an option for those not coming the whole trip this is 180$ for 2 nights 4pax

To get here is from the Ferry at Kettering Ferry Rd. Vehicles less than 6mtrs is 46$ return and vehicle greater than 6mtr is 78$ return these prices are current July 2022. This is a fun way to look around the island and southern beaches of Tasmania exploring caves blowholes ( reminds me of a tour on Hawaii we went on ) We can book this closer to the dates.

FREYCINET

Feb 22nd 23rd Richardsons Beach Freycinet National Park Freycinet Visitor Centre 03)62 567 004. Due to spots getting booked quickly I have booked 4 extra camper van spots . 32$ per spot (16$ per night for 2 nights)Magnificent Beaches and walking trails in this neck of the woods good fishing too . Amazing swimming at Wineglass Bay there are cruises and scenic flights available too . The Freycinet Paddle is also a great experience and different way to explore the natural surrounds.

BAY OF FIRES

Feb 24th 25th maybe 26th St Helens Cosy Corner South ( Free Camping ). This is a spot not to miss. Famous for its orange lichen-covered granite boulders and pristine beaches with turquoise water this will be interesting as there is nowhere to book on the coast so we will leave it in the hands of the Gods so to speak .

LAUNCESTON
